Day 54 - Feeling Better

Today was a better day for Jamey and Savannah in the health department. The planned trip to the doctor for Savannah was cancelled, so the kids appear to be on the mend.  We all got flu shots, so not anticipating anything major this season. I know - famous last words.

Day 53 - Back To Reality

Well, the busy fun-filled Thanksgiving weekend is now over.  Jameson is recovering - literally, to some extent. Jamey has a little bit of a cold. His voice is hoarse and has a slight runny nose. Hopefully it's something minor. Savannah has had a cold the past few weeks. A trip to the doctor might be in order.

Day 52 - We're Smiling Now

It ain't gas anymore.  Mr. Jameson is smiling.

Don't get me wrong.  He still cries and fusses, but he has officially added smiling to his repertroie.  Can't say when his first real smile was but probably happened over the past couple weeks.

Day 51 - Party Animal

Today our little party animal stayed home to recuperate from all the weekend fun. This morning, after changing his diaper, I was treated to a very big smile.

In the evening the entertainer was back on stage, putting on his cute act for Grammy and Grampy as they babysat while Mommy and Daddy enjoyed a night out on the town.

Day 50 - Black Friday

Braved the 3 p.m. crowds at the local Chevron station to buy not one, but two Snickers bars (peanut butter flavor) on my way to play disc golf with Jamey's uncle, aunts, cousins, and grandpa. 

At home, Mommy stayed home as the kids took a nap.

In the evening it was back to Grandma and Grandpa's for more fun.

Jameson was a big hit this weekend.

Day 49 - Jamey's First Thanksgiving

Yesterday was Jameson's first Thanksgiving.

Jamey got to spend a day with his aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.

He was so happy he even gave us a few smiles.

Christmas is just around the corner.

Day 48 - Another Day

Another day in the life of Jamey.

A little fussing, a little eating, a little fussing, some shopping, some pooping, and finally a little bit of fussing.

All of that work earned Jamey some time on the recliner.

Life is good.

Day 47 - Tuesday

Another late night at the office.  Nothing to say.  Thinked I changed a diaper. See you tomorrow.

Day 46 - Monday, Monday

Late night at the office left me with little baby time and no photos.  According to Mommy, Jameson was "very cute" all day. 

Day 45 - Lazy Sunday

Today was a lazy Sunday. Our main job was to drive to Simi for church.  This morning Jameson got to go to Grammy and Grampy's church.  For the second Sunday in a row, Jamey slept through the thing. 
After church, we went to Red Robin's for lunch and then drove back home.  I went to see a movie I've been wanting to see for awhile but other than that, we didn't do too much.  Jameson is getting bigger and bigger by the day.  Sorry, no photos in today's post.

Day 44 - Another Day Of Cuteness

Today we went shopping and Mommy bought a new cell phone.

Jameson's day consisted of eating, sleeping, pooping, and being cute.

What else is there to do for a 6-week old?

Day 43 - Sleep!

Last night, Jameson slept!  Our "night owl" only woke up once between his 10:30 and 5:00 feedings.

The nights won't always be this good.

But things are certainly headed in the right direction.

Day 42 - Turning A Corner

 

Little Jamey is starting to turn a corner.

He is a lot more alert, a little less fussy, has downgraded from crying to grunting during diaper changes...

...and is starting to smile a bit.

Well, he's trying anyway.

The days are getting a little easier.

Day 41 - Smiles?

We're starting to get smiles out of Jamey. Don't know if the grins are gas-related but we'll take whatever we can get. Hoping I can catch one of them on camera soon.

Day 40 - 40 Days And 40 Nights

Well, Jameson has been outside the womb the same number of days as Noah and company were soaking in the rain, the number of days Jesus fasted in the desert, the number of days the Israelite spies scoped out the Promised Land, the number of days Billie Jean had the law on her side, the number of...well, you get the hint.

Jameson has put in his forty days and forty nights. What does this mean? I don't know but we're going to find out.

Day 39 - Monday Blues

What happened today? Good question.  I didn't get home from work 'till after 9.

But I'm sure it involved fussing, spit up, and dirty diapers mixed with plenty of cuteness.

Day 37 - My Daddy Rocks

Jameson is now 5 weeks old. 

He's becoming a lot more expressive...and a lot bigger.

He's building quite the physique.

He will be a hot dog eating champion one day.

Mommy even got some smiles out of him today.

This morning friends came over to see Jamey and this evening we celebrated Mommy's birthday at The Cheesecake Factory.


All in all a good day.  Hopefully it will be a good night.
