Day 25 - Jameson's First Halloween

Well, today was Jameson's first Halloween.

Jameson went as the sleeping ghost.  Pretty scary.

His sister went as Abby from Sesame Street, a reprise of last year's costume.

Jameson slept right through this one.

Meanwhile, Savannah was a having a great time at our church's annual trunk or treat.

Not only was tonight Jameson's first Halloween....

...but it was his first time being babysat.

Jamey spent the evening with Grandma and Grandpa.

He had such a great time, he was whistling.

Well, this was the last day of Jameson's birthday month.  Tomorrow it will be November - a new month and more new experiences for Baby James.

Day 24 - Jamey Smiles?

Today may...I repeat may have produced Jamey's first smile.  After I came home from church, I touched Jamey's nose and said something and it elicted a smile.  I know.  It's just gas.  But I did it again and thought he smiled again.  Later in the day, I touched his nose and got something that was close to a smile.

I'm not saying he actually did smile. But if it becomes apparent in the next week or so that he is in fact actually smiling, then I'm going to date the first smile as October 30th, 2011. 

There you have it.  On to Jamey's day. Today Jamey was introduced to his little baby gym or whatever you call it.

Not used to all this playing.

"Man, I look cute." 

Jameson was awake for a good part of the day.

That might be because he actually slept during the night.

Are we turning a corner in terms of sleep habits?  I hope so but I wouldn't bet on it.

Day 23 - Jamey Goes Out

This morning, Jameson attended a baby baptism for his cousin, Lilly.  "Baby Lilly", as she is called, is only 5 months older than Jameson.

Jamey spent a good part of the day in his car seat.

He's not a big fan of car seats.

But he put up with it and put on the charm for everybody who saw him.

Tonight, Jameson went out to eat for the first time.  Well, his parents went out to eat for the first time since Jamey was born.  Jamey sat in his car seat and slept through the whole dinner at T.G.I Friday's.  This is a shot of him before going to bed.

It was a big day for Jamey.  How will he sleep tonight?

Day 22 - Three Weeks Old!

Jameson, pondering his three weeks outside the womb.

While Jameson has not been the quiet, easy-going infant that Savannah was, he hasn't been overly difficult either.  Jamey is a typical newborn.

 Jameson knows what he wants and lets you know what he wants.

Jamey is becoming a lot more expressive and responsive.

After three weeks, we're starting to get to know him a little bit.

Day 21 - New Habits?



They say it takes 3 weeks to build a habit. Will Jameson turn a corner and start sleeping at night?

"I'll give it a shot!"

Day 20 - My Mommy Loves Me

Tonight Jameson's eyes were open, so thought I would take a few photos.

Oh no!  They're gonna try to make me sleep again.

Day 19 - Jameson Goes For A Walk

Today was Mommy's second day home alone with the kids as Daddy is now back at work.  This morning Mommy took her kids for a walk. 

This special stroller was given to us as a baby shower gift and allows for an extra passenger to stand and ride.  That passenger today was Savannah.

 

In the evening, Grandpa came to visit.  Grandpa and Savannah played with her trains.  Jameson was invited to participate.

Never seen a train before.

Off to bed!

Day 18 - Jameson Getting On Schedule?

Last night, after a full day of sleeping, Jameson actually slept some more. Despite being asleep for most of the day, Jamey put in a surprising amount of sleep and gave Mommy a much needed decent night of rest. 

As a result, Jameson actually spent a good part of the day awake.

Putting on the charm in the daytime.

Will this become a trend?

Day 17 - Sunday Is A Day Of Rest

Today is Sunday.  A day of rest.  Therefore, Jameson rested.

After another night of partying, James was in no mood to be awake.

Last night, Jameson made his first appearance at Grammy and Grampy's.  Today, Jamey continued his road trip, visiting Grandma and Grandpa's house for the first time.

He did open eyes once or twice during the day.

But not for long.

Day 16 - Sano Comes To Town

Yesterday, Aunt Sano came to see Baby Jamey.

Baby James slept most of the time.

But managed to open his eyes shortly before she left.

Jameson slept almost the entire day.

We just couldn't wake him up.

Savannah, in a similar pose at the same age.

By bedtime, Jameson was ready to go.

This is gonna be a long night.
