Day 85 - Jameson Sees His Cousins

Jameson has seen a lot of people this Christmas but missing from the Christmas get-togethers this year were Jameson's Uncle Jeremy, Aunt Sara, and his cousins. Well, tonight, Jameson finally got to see his Aunt, Uncle, and cousins as they arrived back from Minnesota.  Jameson slept through most of tonight's get-together.  Tomorrow night, Jameson will experience his first New Year's Eve.

Day 84 - Happy Again

Today Jameson reverted back to being happy.  Very little spitting up and very little fussing.  Tonight we put him on his belly and he was able to lift his head a little bit.  From what I understand, we're about a month away from starting him on solid food.  Our little boy is growing up.

Day 83 - Fussy, Fussy, Fussy

Jameson fussed the whole day.  If he wasn't sleeping, he was fussing.  Grampy came over this morning to babysit.  He wasn't able to play with Savannah very much because Jameson was so high-maintenance.  We think his stomach is bothering him.  Hopefully tomorrow will be better.  No pictures were taken today.

Day 82 - Back To Work

Today was back to work for Mommy and Daddy, which meant it was back to the babysitter for Jameson.  Everybody is a little tired after the crazy Christmas weekend.  No photos today.

Day 81 - The Day After Christmas

Today, it was Christmas with Grammy's side of the family. We arrived at noon and spent several hours visiting with everyone. Jameson slept through most of the afternoon. He did emerge from his slumber to say hi to everyone and smile before going back to sleep.

Jameson didn't really get to experience his first Christmas the way Savannah did, with Savannah being seven months old and old enough to at least enjoy the wrapping paper.

But he certainly made his presence known this weekend and I think he enjoyed it.

Day 80 - Jamey's First Christmas

Jameson, anxiously awaiting Christmas morning fun.
While his sister smiles at her Mickey Mouse doll, Jameson can be seen living it up in the background.

Lots of excitement.

Jameson, on the recliner having a party.

Off to Grandma and Grandpa's for Christmas dinner.  The smiles didn't last long as he does not like car seats.

Jameson put on the charm for all of the family.

Great-Grandma Earleen and Aunt Diann getting smiles out of the baby.

There we go!

Day 79 - Christmas Eve

Fresh off of his prior night performance, Jameson kicked back at Grammy and Grampy's for our Christmas Eve get-together.

Jameson and cousin Lilly chatted about womb life, the birthing process, and the frustration of not being fed promptly at the first sign of hunger pangs.

The cousins had a great time together.

"Uh oh, looks like they want you to take a nap.  I'm stayin' right here."

Day 78 - Not So Silent Night

Tonight was Jameson's acting debut.  He played the part of Baby Jesus in our church's Christmas program.  The whole family was there in the front row minus Mommy, who stayed home with a recovering Savannah.  As the program began, I took Jameson to the cry room and gave him his bottle, leaving a little left over just in case we needed it right before his entry.  At about 7:30, we went backstage to get him ready.

Mr. Jameson was all smiles backstage.

He put on the charm for everyone around him.

Happy as can be.

Then it came time to get him ready.  They wanted him in a white blanket with just his diaper on, which they provided. That's when things began to go downhill.  His nice cozy Santa pajamas were replaced by a couple of blankets.  But there was a dilemma.  If we cover his arms, he will fuss.  If we keeps his arms free, he will be cold and he will fuss.  Well, with help from Myia (seen in the pictures above, we got the blanket on).  He was doing okay until right before his entry onstage and then he started in.  Nothing would pacify him. I ran backstage to get the bottle that would save the day.  But the milk was cold and he was not interested.  There was a moment where it looked like he was going to be replaced by a doll but then.....we're on!  They took him onstage as Jameson continued crying.  He was not a happy camper.  He screamed his way through Silent Night.  Mary looked flustered as she tried everything to get him calm, including feeding the remnants of his bottle.  Nothing worked.  As the song came to a silent ending, Jameson took over.  The pastor began to speak as Mary and Joseph were supposed to stand admiring the baby.  The pastor said, "Feed that baby!" as Mary and Baby Jesus were given permission to take an earlier than planned exit.

This particular performance emphasized the Second Coming rather then the First.
Afterward, I took him backstage, got him dressed, nuked the remaining milk in his bottle, and fed him.  As I carried a sleeping Baby Jesus through the church lobby, I got a number of compliments from people who "loved the crying baby".  It "was so authentic".  Well, we got our things together and made our way home.  Now all is calm.

Day 77 - Home With Daddy

Last night was a rough night in the Park household. Savannah started vomiting at midnight and didn't stop until sometime this morning.  So, Mommy and Daddy both stayed home from work to take care of things. FYI, in between this sentence and the last one, Savannah hurled all over the couch. So, things aren't quite back to normal yet.  By the way, I'm writing this from the perspective of last night (Thursday) even though right now it is Friday morning.

Anyway, Jameson is doing great.  He was the happiest person in the house today.

He had a great night of sleep...

...and had plenty of smiles throughout the day.

Tomorrow night (Friday) Baby Jamey is going to be Baby Jesus in our church's Christmas program (if he cooperates).

Day 76 - Back On Track

Today was Jameson's best day in awhile.  He slept great last night and from what I hear, he had a fuss-free day.  Right now, he's under my left arm while I type this.  Couldn't possibly have a better Christmas gift.

Day 75 - Poopy

Not much to say.  Today was the usual - fussy and cute.  I do hear he set an all-time poop record at his babysitter's house today.  I won't go into the description but I hear it was one for the ages.

Day 74 - Old Days Are Back

Jameson is apparently feeling nostalgic for the days of yesterday.  He is back to wanting to eat every 20 minutes and waking up frequently in the night to eat.  Is he having a growing spurt?  Is he teething?  Is he just moody?  Don't know.  But, at least for now, he is back to his old ways.

Day 73 - One Week Before Christmas

I couldn't think of any better titles for today's blog post.  Life is good in the Park household.  Jameson slept through church and lunch, then woke up and fussed the remainder of the day.  He also pooped.  It was the biggest poop ever.  Nothing Savannah did even came close to the one Jameson deposited in his diaper this afternoon.  Wow.

Day 72 - Saturday With The Grandparents

Today, Jameson and Savannah stayed with Grandma and Grandpa while Mommy and Daddy went Christmas shopping.

Grandpa gets lots of smiles out of Baby Jamey.

Turns out Jameson has super powers.  Here he is heating up his bottle.

Day 71 - T.G.I.F.

Tonight we went to Chuys for the first time since Jameson was born.  Before we left, Savannah gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Savannah loves her little brother.

Day 70 - Sleeping Through The Night

I know I'm probably jinxing it but Jameson is now sleep...okay, I won't jinx it.  Jameson has slept through the night the past three nights.  That's right.  Mr. Nightowl is becoming Mr. Day...owl?  What else is there to say?  Mr. Jameson's new sleep habits are making for one, happy family :-)

Day 69 - Happy Kid

Jameson has been one happy kid lately.

Sure, he has his moments.

But those moments are becoming less frequent.

Day 68 - Shots!

Tonight Jameson is resting comfortably after getting not one, not two, not three, not four, but five shots at his two-month old doctor appointment!  He is tired but doing well.  Health-wise, Jameson is doing just fine.  He is...I'm just guessing at this based on my conversation earlier with Sharon...something like 68th percentile in weight, 62nd percentile in height (could be vice-versa) and like 55th in head circumfrence.  Circumference.  Cirumfrance.  I don't know how to spell it.  Anyway, I don't believe the head circum...uh, head-size percentile.  Mr. Big-Head Baby Jamey has a big head.  Bigger than 55th, I'm sorry.

Well, big day for James.  We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Day 67 - Tootie Time

Today is Monday, which meant it was Grandma Tootie's turn to babysit.  From what I understood, Baby Jamey did very well and only started fussing shortly before Mommy arrived.  In the evening, Daddy was supposed to babysit the kids while Mommy enjoyed a girls night out.  However, Daddy got a last-minute project, forcing us to change plans and bring Jamey and Savannah over to Daddy's parents' house for more babysitting.  So, Jameson got to put in some more "Tootie Time" while Savannah had a good time with Grandpa playing with airplanes and learning about toilets.

Tomorrow is a big day for Jameson.  It is the day of his two-month old doctor appointment, which means....shots.  Four of them!  Stay tuned.

Day 66 - Lazy Sunday

This morning, Jameson went to church and although there were a couple of false alarms that prompted trips to the cry room, Jamey made it through the entire service without crying.

In the afternoon, Jamey hung out with his Dad while Mommy ran some errands.

He's been quite fussy the past few days, but he's been giving us more and more smiles and lots and lots of joy.

Day 65 - It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

While Daddy took Savannah to the Christmas Parade, little Jameson hung out with Mommy at home.

Then it was time for the kids to take a nap.

In the evening, we had dinner at Grammy and Grampy's before going to see Grampy sing in the Christmas program at their church.

Jameson enjoyed looking at Grammy and Grampy's Christmas tree.

Fascinating.

Day 64 - Adventures In Babysitting

This week it was back to life as normal. Mommy started back at work on Monday, which means Savannah started back up with her babysitters again. Only this time, she had a little brother tagging along.

On Monday, "Grandma Tootie" came over to watch the kids. On Tuesday, it was off to see "Miss Noemi". This morning, "Grammy" came to babysit. On Thursday, it was back to "Miss Noemi's".  Today the kids were split up - with Savannah going to the aforementioned "Miss Noemi" while Jameson went to Savannah's former Friday babysitter - "Miss Val".

It's been difficult for the parents (especially Mommy), as they are now on a schedule. Mommy has to get up at 5, so when we go to bed there is no time for anything but sleeping. Little Jameson hasn't cooperated the way we had hoped. At least for a couple of nights, Jameson was wide awake and hungry upon going to bed (just like old times).   Feed him and 20 minutes later, he wants to eat again.  So, while it hasn't been a very restful week so far for Mommy, she felt good being back at work.  It's nice to be back on our normal schedule again.

Day 63 - Up And At 'Em!

Rise and shine!

Another early morning in the Park household.

Baby Jamey is sporting the bib look these days.

It's tiring being this cute.

Day 62 - Two Months Old!!

This morning, Jameson John Park has officially doubled his age as he reached the two-month mark.  And he has doubled in size as well.  This is turning out to be one big kid.  He's going to be carrying me around in a couple months if this keeps up.

Day 61 - Christmas

Jameson has something new to look at.

Day 60 - Body Builder

Little Jamey is a body builder.

He works out several times a day followed by breast milk shakes and formula.

He's making me look bad.
