Day 3 - Jameson Loves To Sleep

Today could probably be summed up in one word - sleep.  Jameson slept.  He took occasional breaks to eat and poop, but then resumed sleeping.  His big sister was a lot more accomodating to her Dad's desire for frequent photo shoots when she was 2 days old, but Jamey?  Not so much.

He did give me a window of time early this morning with eyes wide open.

So the only thing I can really talk about today is his parents.  Other than entertain visitors and watch football (that was me), today Sharon and I had our celebration lunch where we were wined and dined in our room.  Filet mignon, asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes, rolls, chocolate mousse ice cream, etc.  It was the first meal that Sharon had in the hospital that actually tasted good.

A daily highlight has been the daily visit by Jameson's sister, Savannah.  Each time, Savannah is increasingly excited to see her brother.  Today she wanted to hold him, so we obliged and she got her wish.

Before my parents left with Savannah, they got to sit through a visit from the doctor, who gave Jameson an exam and gave us instructions as to how to take care of the new baby.  Because Jamey was being poked, prodded, and exposed, his eyes opened for a little while.  My Dad took advantage of this window of opportunity to snap some non-sleeping photos of his grandson.

Well, not much else to say. So, I'll leave you with the first and last images of the day...

It's okay, Jamey. You can close your eyes if you want to.

There you go. Good night.
